Get a S&W or Ruger if you want to shoot 50,000-500,000 trouble free rounds. If you want something to keep your socks in your sock drawer company, get a Taurus.Looking to sell my .45 High Point and getting a Taurus 66 or 608. Anybody have experience with either of these and have any advice on which one to get?!
I get rewards points for doing training from my job. I'm close to a $500 Cabelas gift card. I really want a revolver that doesn't break the bank.I can't speak to all Taurus revolvers, but I have an 85 that has been problem free. Haven't put thousands of rounds through it though.
For what you're likely to get for the Hi-Point, I'd just keep it. Although I understand that every penny sometimes counts.
I've always been a huge fan of those! I got a Cabelas $500 gift card and I don't think they sell the Trackers anymoreGood move on dumping that no-point. Taurus 627 is awesome gun if you are interested in a ported 7 shot .357/38.
TAURUS 627 TRACKER 357MAG 4-INCH STAINLESS 7RD
<p>Extremely comfortable to fire and easy to control, the Tracker Series maintains a high level of accuracy, rock-solid performance, and near-indestructible construction. The Model 627 revolver 357 Magnum has a 7-round cylinder, and makes a practical choice for backpacks and tackle boxes...lockedloaded.com
I have a 6" one that is smooth as silk both in action and trigger. They are excellent value imo.

I just don't really want to spend over $700-$750. And I like my G2C, which is my carry.Get a S&W or Ruger if you want to shoot 50,000-500,000 trouble free rounds. If you want something to keep your socks in your sock drawer company, get a Taurus.
I'm just looking for a nice revolver for around $500-$700 and I enjoy my Taurus G2C.I don't know if Taurus has improved the quality of their revolvers or not. The 66 Silhouette I had back in 2002-2003 had some improperly heat treated steel in it. The ejector rod bent on mine and I suspect that wasn't the only part that wasn't annealed properly. But what do you expect from a Brazilian gun company?
Looks like they have the 4" for $499 but no 6" if that helps.I've always been a huge fan of those! I got a Cabelas $500 gift card and I don't think they sell the Trackers anymore
$600 for this absolute gem..I'm just looking for a nice revolver for around $500-$700 and I enjoy my Taurus G2C.
I have a $500 Cabela a gift card to buy one.$5-600 for a used Ruger, S&W, etc.

Do they have the selection online? With the cabelas card in hand, just start haunting their used handgun counter. Their pricing on used guns makes no sense at all . I've picked up some nice scores in the Gun Library, it just takes a little time.
It appears that you may be in the same process of what many of us went thru when money was scarce, buying something and then upgrading later. That is okay, but it costs more money in the long run then just saving money until you can afford buying the higher quality gun to start with.I'm just looking for a nice revolver for around $500-$700 and I enjoy my Taurus G2C.
Kind of.Do they have the selection online?
