The FBI some time ago found that the female agents in their employ had difficulty with the amount of wrist strength needed to hold the gun that it would cycle correctly when recoiling. The lynch-pin to the shooting of the guns in this caliber is that you have to have the wrist strength to allow the gun to recoil and cycle properly; otherwise you get consistent malfunctions.

.40 was their answer to this problem, which is almost a "10mm short" in the way it performs.

I like 10mm. Does what needs doing. Not too many guns made in the caliber though. Wish there were more.

That is the result of Socialist Dogma, the belief that if you put a badge on a short, overweight, understrength, fearful female that she-it can be a street cop/Agent/combat soldier. The result is an issue sidearm that shoots a reduced power load so the girls don't get scared (but still require hours of remedial training with unloaded guns to get past their "recoil induced trauma" Don't ask me how I know:confused: The Secret Service now has "Agents" that cannot open the door on the Presidential Limo"o_O

Ah ah AH BULLSHIRT Whew, excuse me,had to sneeze. I don't like 44mag cause of the recoil. 10mm in an auto pistol isn't anything. Besides it was as much the size of the grips,or more, than the recoil. See I can pull facts out my a$$ too.:D The glock flexes nice and isn't bad on recoil. The 1911 is heavy enough not to be much of a problem. Heck a 357 revolver kicks more than a 10 auto gun. I have shot my glock out to 159 yards with MOB accuracy. So even if you are a paper puncher it's the bees knees. I don't think anyone who shoots 10mm will help dissuade you from buying any of the offerings in this caliber.

If you get a 10mm, you might as well stock up on 40S&W ammo, too.

Someone will eventually point out, you can shoot 40 out of your 10, unmodified.

And while you are there, get some 357 SIG.
Cause if you neck down the 40 you get a 357...add a replacement barrel. And then a 9mm barrel and some springs & mags.

Then of course to practice, a replacement 22LR upper is in order.

I'm sorry but this picture is absolutely hilarious. Anyone else see anything here?

10mm is fun. 10mm is sexy. 10mm is father. 10mm is mother. 10mm makes you feel all tingly inside (particularly in the shooting hand).

You shouldn't shoot 10mm because that leaves more for me.

Cost can be a factor, but I have been finding it for pretty good prices here of late! Any where from$25:00 on up! Gourmet stuff is about $45 or so and goes up! This is a good reason to reload! Even the cheep stuff is better then any .40s/w and that helps! Add in that you can run .40 for cheeper practice, and it's a good way to go!

To me, the 10 MM is the auto pistol answer to the .357 mag wheel gun. You actually have even more of all good things that made the .357 so good in the first place! The F.B,I, was correct in choosing the 10 mm to replace the 357 mag, for the reasons above. Penetrates things better then just about any other pistol round, doesn't glance off like others, and has the incredible stopping power of the legendary .357 mag! I honestly see no down side to this at all!

You mean the explosion?
that is the result of the medium being vaporized and oxygen entering into the wound channel:D
