As some of you know, the PM40 comes with a metal baseplate and the K40 comes with the plastic extended baseplate. I like the looks of the metal one much better so I took on of the ones from my PM40 and put it on one of the mags for my K40. That was the easy part. Now I had a PM40 mag with no base plate. If you put the extended baseplate on it the mag would not lock into position. Luckily there is a lot of excess plastic on the top of the extended baseplate. If you sand it off some you can get it to work perfectly with the PM40 mags. I even like how the plastic baseplate looks on the PM40 better than I did on the K40.
