Just keep in mind that not all unknown people are threats until you make the choice for them. If in a killzone my training without thinking will be to kill everything in the woods and double tap any survivors as they are a proven threat to me.

Lots of good ideas and info. in this thread, I've read it a couple of times only thing that gets to me is the road blocks in a SHTF scenario, if it's on a dead end, loop or the like its a best way to go, however what if you are getting home or to your BOL and a very small town the type that have one way in one way out has the road blocked and with armed people and makes it clear you will NOT pass! this would be most likely if you are slow to go but given it could happen just before you could get there it would sure mess-up your plan, BTW seen this in a movie think it was "Panic in the Year Zero!".
