There has been a great many surplus Beretta pistols hitting the U.S. market these past few months. Earlier in the year I purchased a Modrl 81 for $229 and was pleased with the gently used condition it arrived in.

Fast forward to Black Friday. Classic Firearms was advertising surplus Beretta Model 76 pistols in .22lr for $399.99. $400 bucks felt like alot for a surplus trainer but I paid the extra $30 anyway for a "Best of 10" hand picked model.

Apparently it was $30 well spent because they sent me a 98%-99%, possibly unfired example. Pics of it pre-cleaning.

I saw one of those advertisements for this pistol.
Congrats on getting a beauty!

You ARE buying lottery tickets ... aren't you??!!:D

I was starting to think that it was missing import marks. I wasn't quite that lucky, but they hid them where they will never be seen without disassembly. Found it on the bottom of the slide. I like subtle.
