What material are these made of? I know some of the ladder style rail covers are made of heat resistant material such as Santoprene and some aren't.

Unsure, they are slightly softer/tackier than other rigid plastic-y rail covers I have. The low profile plus softer feel make for a great grip. I haven't seen ANY heat related issues w/these whatsoever.
