The governor of Virginia asked his state to consider banning silencers after a man using a handgun equipped with one of the devices killed 12 people last month in Virginia Beach.

As if banning them would of course stop some kook from using one in a crime. Of course the anti guns will never stop to think about that.
 
Consarn it. While I realized the precedent set in Miller and some of the language in Heller would have likely resulted in them ruling NFA34 was constitutional, there was at least a shot to have part of it ruled as unconstitutional.
