I don't know anyone down there, but I imagine there's a still a sharpening shop around somewhere.
If you can't find someone local, you can come up to Tigard and I'll do it for you.
I'm a bladesmith, not specifically a sharpening shop, but I am known in some circles for my sharp wit!

Why can't you sharpen your own knives? My dad taught me that when I was 9.

Some knives are valuable enough to justify the expense. And reprofiling a damaged edge without wasting metal, adding scratches and maintaining blade geometry is a real task.

No sweat, just let me know. We have a muzzleloader state competition next weekend, so I'll be kinda busy, but it shouldn't take long to sharpen a knife or two.
