^^ Usually hate 'memberships' and the like, but their pricing and free shipping indeed looks attractive. Need to get to the range more often to justify getting more ammo. Do blow through 22lr very fast though. When they ship do you have to be home to sign for it? Thanks!
yeah i get it, but i did the math and it very much pays for itself in short order. No, none of the cases i have had to sign for. If you wanted that option for security suppose it would be worth it to ask them. I normally hate it as i miss deliveries . . .

FYI current subsonic prices as of today at palmetto:

Wait when did stribog come out with a 22?? Damn it, going to have to buy one of those . . .
New this year for USA. They have 16", 12", and 10" which is very popular in places like UK and New Zealand where so many non-22 gun restrictions.

In USA it's 10" only. I like how it already has pic rail on the back. Eeman tech springs gets trigger to 2.5lb. 1 moa or a little better for the competition shooters in NZ and Europe. Cant seem to find eeman tech springs in USA yet. I have hb industries spring in 9mm Stribog and that trigger is a dream. Also I'm thinking maybe swap in binary trigger from my 15-22 which would give it rate of fire of 600 rounds per minute. Stribog takes standard AR triggers if you use washers to compensate for the slightly larger Stribog frame opening.

Dang thats awesome- thank you for the info and now I am going to have to research all that!

I have been on a huge 22 kick ever since setting up a range at my house, and the one thing i was wishing that was out there was a PCC style 22, without breaking the bank and buying like a CMMG etc. So far have the 15-22, Tipmann, Umarex Mp5 22, and ruger 10-22 charger. Also picked up a unique Beretta ARX100 in 22, since I have the full size version and love that gun. This might have to be the final 22 rifle edition. I went nuts with 22 pistols, and they are just too fun to shoot- Think i am up to like 8 different 22s. Running two rugged 22 cans- the Oculus, and then their Mustang22. Both make any subsonic sound like a staple gun, and with 22 ammo prices back to somewhat reasonable prices, it is a great way to train for cheap. Plus shoot suppressed ;-). I think I am going to need to pick up a few more 22 cans eventually, they get used far more than any others!

So, I don't shoot .22 LR much. Most of said is done with a silencer in place. I've been slowly plinking through a stash of Gemtech cartridges* that have worked very well; both reliability and suppression. Alas, that stock is about out and it doesn't appear the aforementioned firm makes cartridges any more.

Recommendations on loads for autoloaders with a can in place? Thanks.

What barrel length are you running and is it bolt or semi auto ?

I can recommend hk 416 .22 pistol at palmetto for $329 on clearance. End cap to make pic rail is available. It has the same internals and uses same mags as your arx 160 (both made by Walther in arnsberg). Hkparts trigger spring kit improves trigger by about 75% I would say. Oops I just realized you said arx 100. I don't know about that one. Arx 160 .22 is the one I'm familiar with. Arx 160, g36, hk 416, hammerl tac r1, colt m4 trigger arrangement and everything is very similar to mp5 .22 (also made by Walther in arnsberg) but mp5 trigger layout is a bit different so requires slightly different spring kit.

I agree on sound. Equivalent to a normal (not loud hand clap) means you can shoot almost anywhere. All the semi autos are limited sound wise by the sound of the action though cuz that's almost always the loudest sound when shooting subs suppressed (semi autos I mean).

Here is another awesome deal imo and I love this gun. Uses standard $18 thread adapter to run suppressors on it like all the Walther/colt/s&w ones. $264 well made and cycles well with subs.

Don't forget a universal brace for all those .22 regular pistols. 1 will cover most all medium to full size pistols (any caliber).

Almost forgot the s&w/walther sp22 make great suppressor hosts despite their unorthodox look. All stainless steel firearm inside an aluminum and polymer body. Central barrel location means no need for suppressor sights. I have the smaller one shown below but the longer ones often comes with 4 way adjustable match trigger. I will say even on the small one (not match trigger) it's the best striker fire trigger I've ever shot and I used to own a q5 match. Available used only cuz long discontinued.

Too funny- I ordered the HK 416 from Palmetto over Labor Day a few days ago when i saw that deal, and it is sitting at my FFL waiting to be picked up when I am back from vacation! I couldnt pass on that deal, and yeah as you mentioned, I have a very solid stockpile of the mags for it since the ARX 160 in 22lr takes teh same mags. I mixed up the ARX numbers- I have both, an ARX100 in 556, and then now just picked up the ARX160 in 22LR for a 1/1 trainer. I know the ARX has a love/hate relationship with many people, but I LOVE it- especially being a lefty, and it being fully 100% ambi.

Ironically out of all my 22 pistols, my favorite and best shooting is the Taurus TX22 TORO. Taurus gets a lot of crap, but man they made a winner in the TX22. Feels exactly like my carry and HD gun- VP9.

How do you like the Stribog 22 compared to the HK 416?

PS- you may have already seen this, but if not, Beretta has the ARX160 22lr mags on clearance right now for $15. There are coupon codes out there that drop that price to $13, and free shipping. I bough 20 - LOL! Couldn't resist at that price, and now that I have both the ARX160 and the HK416-22, that should be a nice stockpile of mags for them for super cheap: https://www.beretta.com/en-us/product/beretta-arx160--22lr-magazine---30-rounds-574606

Dang that's an awesome price for those mags. Works on so many different guns also. I already like 7-8 or else I would jump on that! The mags are kinda invincible imo compared to say 15-22 mags. Still at that price I'm tempted to buy more. Hk416 is excellent and fun gun imo. It's more accurate than my 16" 15-22. Especially after changing trigger springs. I don't have Stribog 22 yet just ordered it. TX22 I've heard great things about. Made in USA compared to their other semi autos as I understand it.

As someone who regularly shoots suppressed .22 LR, I can offer a few recommendations based on my experience:

  1. CCI Quiet-22: These are specifically designed for suppressed shooting. They're subsonic and offer excellent noise reduction, though they may not cycle all autoloaders reliably.
  2. CCI Standard Velocity: A popular choice that balances reliability and quietness. They're subsonic in most barrels and work well in many autoloaders.
  3. Aguila Super Extra Subsonic: Another good option for suppressed shooting that tends to function well in semi-autos.
  4. Federal Premium Suppressor 22 LR: Designed for use with suppressors, these often cycle well in autoloaders while remaining quiet.
  5. Eley Subsonic Hollow: Known for accuracy and consistent performance in suppressed firearms.

Remember that every firearm is different, so you might need to try a few brands to find what works best in your specific setup. Also, clean your suppressor regularly, as .22 LR can leave quite a bit of residue.

Aguila is sulfurous stinky dirty. Cci quiet-22 has many options. 710 fps is crap. Will not cycle semi autos and is horribly inaccurate (inconsistent). The old Cci quiet segmented 710fps the same. They have a new cci-quiet segmented that is much faster and I have not tried it. Cci quiet semi-auto is not bad and will cycle most all semi autos.

My favorite is CCI standard velocity. I tested a lot of different ammo and brands and these were the best overall. Some were a bit quieter, but not reliable. I remember the Eley in particular smelled terrible, I don't know what they put in theirs but the gunsmoke was almost toxic smelling, otherwise I maybe would have liked it.

Edit: typos

The 710fps CCI quiet-22 in the blue cardboards don't cycle in my experience (they even have a disclaimer on the box).

Now, these 970fps CCI suppressor ones have worked great. Cost more but I would say worth it.

Bi-Mart seems to have a good variety of 22's always in stock nowadays, so it would be a good idea to try a few before committing to a bulk purchase 👍

They cycle just fine in my bolt action 😁

I have several boxes of those CCI Quiet. They are what they advertise, quiet. On my MK's they will not cycle the bolt but they also do not jam. They allow me to just cycle by hand. First time I tried them I was alone on the indoor so took off my hearing protection to see how they sounded. Even inside they were not loud. Next thing I noticed is the little things are REALLY accurate in both of my MK's. They would be great for pest control for anyone who has a place that's safe to shoot but has neighbors close enough that they don't want to disturb. Pretty neat little invention.

In case you don't know, cci-quiet semi auto is much better than cci-quiet. Your groups will be an inch less compared to cci-quiet 710fps due to better consistency. Also just as quiet pretty much.

Their old cci-quiet segmented (710 fps) was garbage but new segmented is higher velocity and I haven't tried it.

Cci-quiet semi auto (835 fps) is excellent if you want to save a little bit on sound compared to the many suppressor (am eagle, cci, Winchester), cci standard velocity, and cci-clean variety. All those are subsonic and most all are more accurate than cci-quiet semi auto and way more accurate than the inconsistent cci quiet 710 fps. Nothing can touch the consistency of eley match imo (subsonic).
