Must have one of these, and preferably in oxi-bronze like the above.

They don't seem to be readily available anywhere... anybody have any leads? I know some of you guys are into old German military stuff.

Replica is totally fine (preferred... $$), so long's it's clean malleable metal.

Thanks gents

Your request on this item and previous posts regarding climbing reminded me a of a kick bubblegum book called, Summit by Harry Farthing. I strongly recommend the Audio CD version. Unless you're a die hard Nazi in which case Never Mind...

Would that "war memorabilia" vendor at all the gun shows selling zippo lighters with swastikas (made in Taiwan last month) have anything like that?

Strumtrupp is German for Storm trooper ( Or Assault troop ).
The Award in the OP is from WWI .
Late in WWI Germany came up new tactics on how to take a trench or do an assault on enemy lines.
They had special schools to teach these new ideas and gave the new units this badge and special equipment.
This badge ( itself ) is not connected with the Third Reich or the Nazi party.
Use of the imagery and name however is a whole other matter ...
