Our state's leadership totally understands the concept of incrementalism.

There will be high profile murders or "mass shootings" (hate that term) with 1911s or a Glock 48 and it will be pointed out how fast and effectively they kill with one quick pull of the trigger after another... Oh, and a skilled shooter can reload a magazine-fed pistol too quickly!

These pistols will make The List.

Then we'll see an event in which a murderer uses a lever action rifle. They can be fired so rapidly, the horror! Or a devastatingly powerful 12-gauge pump shotgun. The victim's head was blown clean off!

These long guns will make The List.

Then some a$$clown will commit a long-range murder with a scoped deer rifle.

These guns will make The List.

And one day soon -- probably in the next five years if we keep electing the same fools to office -- there will be no firearm that's not on The List.

Then they will come for our knives, just like our they did for our cousins in the U.K.
