OMG people, you're complaining that someone is getting more free money than you. Its a govt handout and you're happy to take it after all the socialism/welfare bs coming from the right, and now you're complaining that you're not getting enough of the welfare...my left leaning head just exploded...

OMG you JUST joined this forum and you're already making it known your political beliefs and calling out other members.

If you hit the back button enough times on your browser you can probably forget.

Some people pay a lot in taxes
We just want some back

Work gave me 80 hours of PTO to use as I see fit for coming in, plus an extra hundo for every 35 hours worked AND unlimited overtime at 2x pay.

I'm going to work myself into a coma and then use the money to move somewhere quiet.

Edit: starting next week. The wife started her new job this week. As much as I love her and like extra money, I haven't had a quiet moment to myself since November.

I'm getting the full amount, I've worked my butt off, racked up student loans, been out of work twice, and still work pay check to pay check.

I've never taken a dime of gubment money, paid my high student loans off myself, worked two jobs many times before in my life, and I'm barely under the limit to get the full amount with two kids.

I'll gladly take the money.
I've sacrificed enough and always paid my own way.

After my sick time and vacation time is wasted on this pandemic I'll be on unemployment. Which I hate, and as soon as I can get back to work I will do so gladly.

The state should give us our kicker checks now!
This state is real good at finding ways to steel our kicker check. Brown has already said on TV how Oregon is loosing big money just by extending the tax report deadline due to the pandemic. I took that as the prelude to once again stealing out kickers.

Wether you're left or right, the only thing this proves is Big Gov isn't the answer and will never replace the industriousness of the American people.

Has it occurred to you that the folks that aren't getting a check are the ones that pay the lions share of taxes in this country? The bottom 50% of wage earners don't pay income tax, and get a refund because it's not fair that they don't. I know people that are on Social Security Disability. They get a check each month and their rent is paid by government. The minimum $1200 they receive is money that I paid in taxes. For me this is more a matter of the principle than the money. The governments shotgun approach to this problem, is the problem. Fairness and equal treatment only apply to minorities and low income people in this country.

I never had a tax refund always had to pay, never been on welfare, or used oregon health plan or any other assistance program so its my turn to get some and i dont fell bad about it one bit.

I told my tax-guy to hold off on filing 2019 for a couple weeks.
2018 wasn't a great year for me and after he sees my alimony payments, The Donald may send me TWO checks... might even write one of em personally and put it in a condolences card (Hallmark, of course...classy guy).

I got shafted and filed 2019 already and 2019 was deep into the reduction range. Should have waited.

You are actualy better off for that. The money will be treated as an early distribution of a 2020 tax credit based on 2019 AGI, so when you file your 2020 taxes they will use the 2019 AGI as the basis for the credit, and if you had received more than what you should have based on the 2019 AGI you would end up having to repay some of the money.
