"Carrie" and "It" author King took to Twitter to call for "responsible gun control laws" on Thursday, after the deadly church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, that left nine dead.

King also took aim at those who keep "proudly closed minds" on the issue of gun control.

"Until responsible gun owners support responsible gun control laws, innocent blood will continue to flow," King wrote. "How many times must we see this?"

The author went on to lament the entrenched attitudes on the subject.

"Too many closed minds on gun control. Worse, far too many PROUDLY closed minds," King added. "Meanwhile, the American shooting gallery remains open."

I don't think he likes us much.

Well, thank Ghu we're running out of '58 Plymouths! Of course, there's always Cuba,.........

Sounds like he's written himself into another corner, and like he always does, is taking the cheap and easy way out.

You'd think he'd have something against pickup trucks with a Mercedes sighting device on the front, him getting run over on a country road whilst whistling Dixie and all.

"The intellectual would need to be smarter than everyone combined, in order to be able to decide what is best for us".

    Thomas Sowell; Conflict of Visions

Well my idea of common sense just very-well may be a bit different than someone else's idea of common sense.....Common Sense tells me not to buy books authored by liberals.

"Common Sense" is a left-wing meme for an unending black hole of obedience and loss of liberty.

He is no different from Obama, Clinton, or the rest of the anti firearm groups. A tragedy happens and they jump up and call for more gun control. However, none of them offer any specifics on what gun control law would stop these events from happening. Like most recent mass shootings, no so called assault rifles were used, no so called high capacity mags were used and the shooters passed background checks. So what is the mysterious new gun control law they envision that will end these tragic shooting???????

Eh, King has been irrelevant for a long time! He has been writing screen plays instead of novels for years! Boy he was great back in the day!
