Steelhead

Started out with steelie pills, glow bugs and pink plastic worms and did OK but when we switched to roe it was on ! Rods were 9 foot lamniglass side drifters with plefuger reels and 10lb maxima. We took them all sidedrifting. Never fails, you spend tons of cash on all the latest lures etc and it always goes back to basics, roe. Personally, I have caught more steelhead on nightcrawlers than anything else. SImple is always the best!

We are getting some success on winter Steelhead on the South Santiam. This last batch of rain may have slowed it down for a few days.
