Steelhead run?

How is the steelhead run doing in the Coast range? Or, better yet, how was is doing before the flooding? And how long should I wait to go over? Specifically planning on going to the Nehalem, which I've never fished. Thanks!

It was slow.. There balled up at the mouth of the rivers..
I did the steely contest and no one got any but the 2 guys at the mouth
Of the river where hooking em.. I'd say give it 5-8 days aftor the heavy rain and It'S ON!

Steelhead run? Is that sort of like the Hood to coast run? I've caught a bunch of em and have noticed them "fly" out of the water occasionally, but I aint never seen one run
Probably a good thing too, as hard as they fight and take every advantage that they do, they would probably run up on the bank and kick me up side my arse to add insult to injury.
