I own an XD-40 and I find the XD to be a safer gun than the Glock, because of it's grip safety among other things especially for less experienced folks

I have added a Powder River Precision extended grip safety to my XD40 Mod 2, XD9 Mod 2 Service, and XDM9 5.25. It is like the extended 'Memory Bump' on a modified 1911. They are not available for 45's, just 9's and 40's. The wife had a problem in a 'Speed' course getting a good grip in time, this did the trick for her.

The OP got a tremendous deal, the hardest thing about getting the extra magazine is making a copy of the receipt in a acceptable format to upload. Pretty easy for most.
