anyone certain and can back up ,as to yay or nay ? it's Hornday ,1175 fps. hollow points. inf so far, sources say 'don't shoot too many and should be ok'.

I have one. Not an edc. I also had an XD40 years ago and never had a problem. Only shot defense ammo sparingly. These don't have a history or reputation of blowing up.

I saw a guy shooting reloads blow up his new XDM-40--the chamber indicator blew outta the gun & bounced off his skull & he bled like a stuck pig. It was very exciting

Then Springfield told him they wouldn't warranty his gun cause he used reloads-- When I shoot mine, I never forget that it is built on a piece of plastic
