This is very early springfield M1A. I was told it could be an Elmer Ballance receiver but I never removed the rear sight to confirm. It has been a safe queen its entire life. The bore is pristine. All USGI parts. The receiver dates to 1976 if I'm not mistaken. I'm not an M1A guru, so if you have questions, or want further pictures please don't hesitate to ask. This rifle is truly beautiful, I just can justify keeping it when the funds could be better used elsewhere.
