Springfeild XD9 sight adjustment

I've had my XD9 for about a year. At 50ft, it shoots @ 3 inches to the left. Every time. I've even had a couple of my friends try out with the same results. How do I adjust the sights?

Get an adjustable rear sight, or start shooting to the right more. My XD45 Tactical does the same thing and I ended up buying a adjustable rear sight from dawsons.

Usa a brass hammer to carefully bang the sight to the right a little.

My XD9 did the same, rear sight on mine drifted really easy with a nylon or brass punch.

Thanks for the help, everybody. I think I'll try the brass punch. I haven't seen any "curved boolits".

Dang! i've got an XD45 and haven't been able to budge the rear sight to save my life! I've got an assortment of soft punches and two kinds of sight pushers but nothing would move that sight before I quit trying for fear of screwing up the gun.

Is there a set screw on the top of the sight?

No there isn't, they are notoriously hard to get off the XD's. I have an XD40 and I remember reading that they are directional on/off, you might check on XDTalk forum.

Well pretty much all sights are directional to remove. Its a good idea to look up which direction it is ahead of time tho.
