What do you mean by post war? Iver johnson only made commercial m1 carbines. First iver johnson were cast recievers made on plainfield machinery in 1978. BTW this looks like the early iver johnson which took GI parts.

Yes, it is a commercial carbine, they are made with surplus GI parts, and it is post world war 2. Serial number puts it around 1980
