Up for sale is a 1918 dated, Brescia manufactured m91 truppe special carcano rifle, chambered in 6.5 carcano. Came from the recent PW Arms import of Carabinieri surplus rifles.
This one being in not too great shape. All metal parts are well preserved with most of their original finish, with no rust or major pitting above or under the wood.
The stock is pretty beat up given its age and use in Italian conflicts. A glossy finish had been applied at some point, with most of it being worn off. The handguard is missing wood in two places, and there is a small hairline crack forming behind the tang.
The bore leaves a lot to be desired. Barrel is very dark and pitted, but there is some life left in it with rifling still present. I'll post a picture if requested or when I find the time.
All small parts are present and the action functions well. So far, I have taken it apart to give it a basic cleaning and inspection
Would make a good wallhanger, parts gun, or might shoot well with properly sized bullets (not the undersized .264 diameter bullets PPU uses for their 6.5 carcano loads)
Asking $140, transfer fee on the buyer.
Listing it on here for a couple weeks in case there is any interest, otherwise i'll probably hold onto it or list it on gunbroker.
PM me if interested or if you have any questions!
