You would be a guest associated with the match director, as is my understanding. I shoot 2 different events there pretty much every month, as do others and we are NOT members there. I do shoot regularly/squad with, folks who are members. I am provided with a gate code and go directly to the action range.
Don't let one gurmoudgeon ruin your outlook on this "funny than dog dung" event!

If I can sneak away Sunday I will. Moving Saturday, so it depends on how I can negotiate that one with the wife.

I don't take rejection well. I'm still sore from the last time I was told to leave by a so-called RSO last month because I was unescorted by a member. A long drive for nothing.

They have their rules, but it'd be nice if they held this as an Open event.
That is to bad and I am sorry you where asked to leave by the RSO just because you didn't have member escort as this match is open to the public.

I'm willing to give it one more shot (literally), thanks to the support of @spookshack. It was just annoying for someone who should be an adult to feel like they needed to make a power play and "save the club from terrorists". :)

The matches are NOT open to the public.

Competitors are guests of the match director. The Public cannot just come and watch.

These are Tri-County Club rules - nothing to do with Steel - and will apply on almost all occasions.

A very limited number of sight in events are open to the hunting public. All other events are members + guests.

Bubblegum Pile is fully aware that competitors are guests of the match director. By saying that the "match was open to the public", that is what he was referring to and I'm sure that he was going off the impression that most folks knew that already...

So to recap, non-members of the general public who are competitors, CAN shoot the match, as they are considered guests of the match director.

Please start a PM with me prior to the match so that I can make sure there are no issues upon your arrival at the club.

You are correct sir I do know that but I guess I have to spell that out next time for the rest of the readers. Just didn't want to get all long winded. I'll fix this issue moving forward.

I'm going to the dark side this coming Sunday and shooting my M&P 15-22. My trusty Buckmark needs a new extractor and I won't have it done before Sunday. I'm sure my placing will go down because I can't shoot a rifle-even a rimfire-worth a darn. But it will be fun!

Speaking of extractors, the factory 15-22 one's are inferior to the aftermarket one's. Both mine and my daughter's 15-22's have been flawless since I went with the extractors from Volquartsen. Kid and Tandem Kross also make excellent replacement extractors. ;)

I haven't had any problems with my 15-22 except I had to put in anti-rotational pins. Other than that's it's been flawless. The Buckmark has 10's of thousands of rounds through it so I guess it's about time it needed something replaced.

I'll be bringing a multitude of firearms Ms. Gal should you need one. They have served me well in the past All have taken first overall on many occasions, none are glocks unfortunately
Thank you for the offer! But I'll try the 15-22 and see how it goes. I never shoot Glocks at the SS matches just to save on the ammo. The .22 is so much cheaper!
