Withdrawn
M1916 Mauser that was re-chambered to 7.62x51. I've read that you can safely shoot .308 in it and I've read that you can't shoot .308 in it. So I've always just shot Lake City M80 ball.
It's a good shooter and is pretty accurate at 100 yards.
It's in pretty nice condition for a rifle manufactured in 1939. The wood is good with no cracks or splits and the bluing is still decent but thin in places. I also really think the bent bolt is a major plus and have thought about making it into a Scout Rifle.
I can't find a manufacturers mark so I'm not sure who made it, but my past experience with these rifles makes me think that it may be a LaCoruna. But that's just a guess and not a statement of fact.
I installed a Mojo Click Sight on it which replaces the rear sight elevator with an adjustable peep sight. However the original sight will come with it.
$250. Grants Pass
(NOTE: If this sells, I'll have a decent quantity of 7.62x51 ammo for sale.)
