Got a sneak peak at something that should be dropping soon, it's been kept quiet..

I got a preview under the condition of not sharing till its official drop date.

It's old, but new, it may or may not be by a company or companies that I like. If it will have 1 added feature, I will likely pick one up as I've been looking for something like it...

It will be an interesting addition to the market.

Yep this thread was a pathetic grab for attention. "I know a secret that nobody else does, but I can't tell you". What bullbubblegum!
Not the intention...

Maybe it's it's true what I've been told about my condition, the mind does not keep up with the bodies aging.

It was fun to see what others are hoping for to come out, the humorous posts, etc. Similar to what I said before, the actual release will be a disappointment to the gold generated on a simple mystery...

I wish to apologize to anyone who was harmed over such a post...

Not meant as an attention grab, but mearly, something new is coming (yea, I know, most probably won't care because of what it is) but it was fun to see the imagination from people and the humor generated.

Modular trigger group Glock platform so more customization in a sense...

3d print some lowers since the trigger group is serialized.

I plan to pick one up, hope to grab a threaded barrel and have it for a SHTF, glock mag 9mm platform.
I did see that, That they went the sig route and have a more customizable frame game now.. and I see exactly why magpul signed up.. so magpul can mage all kinds of money doing it that way. Makes a lot of sense and provides for more modularity as well.
Could go from a (possibly) G26ish pistol frame to a G34 size frame all with one serial number. Could even be dropped into a future PDW kit.

I was secretly hoping for something cool from them that was a little different though.
A sig styled Glock hybrid project backed by magpul seems a little over done with the current market of clones.

I never thought that man, some dudes here sound off a little too loudly if they haven't had that morning coffee. For me, part of the fun was making up what I hoped Ruger/Magpul would do. And luckily I did get some banter with a few folks on the thread so that was fun. Sadly no mini 30 with AK mags..

I have a buddy in the industry/YouTube and he did the same thing. He could only hint at it, but he had early access to info as well.

Hey, for all of you poo-pooing this announcement, the email I received from Brownells this morning says this pistol is "Redefining Customization". Do you understand that? "Redefining"!!! Why it's the most, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oops sorry. I dozed off there. Where was I? What was I saying again? o_O

So this is where we're at in the firearms industry? Major manufacturers are throwing in the towel and saying "screw it, we'll just make a Glock, too"?

"Oh, but ours is better because it steals an idea from Sig that nobody cares about as well!".

WHY couldnt these dimwits bring back the 96/22 and 96/22m , the deerstalker or deerfield, the 10/22mag or something else that isnt just another belly button in an already full market of plastic fantastics.

This is what happens when you hire DEI picked designers I guess, another pistol designed for the aftermarket barbi bunch to sell useless bits and glitter. Really sad to see Ruger going downhill on their lineup.

Wait a second.
Ruger is actively rescuing the Marlin lever guns currently.
So , this glonk is not a indicative of a larger downhill trend.

I'll definitely be interested in these pistols 18 months from now. After the youngsters beta test them for me.

I don't see one thing in the ruger I woudl want over existing pistols. I don't need to buy a bunch of grips from magpul and change them out on a whim. My Glocks are already gen 3 so I don't care about "Glock gen 3 compatible". Other steel and metal frame 9mm guns are way better than this one already so why would I want this? Hard pass in every way. If I wanted a polymer frame striker fired gun there are tons of excellent ones already on the market. If I want a steel frame or aluminum frame those are there also.

They'll get you eventually .
Limited runs of frame colors, maybe even a relaunch of mythical " magpul sand" ?

If they offer a chassis style frame for brace/sbr , you'll at least have a look.
Tell me I'm wrong..

My first thought is that the boomer company is trying to be hip except their version of hip is the mid 2010s.

That being said should be reliable with both companies reputation.

Some striker fired polymer that would be superior to this off the top of my head:

Sar 9 $219 and up
Canik - $350 and up
Sig p365
Arex Delta
S&W
Glock
Walther PDP
Hk vp9
Other hk
FN

Metal semi autos that would be superior imo:

1911s from quality brands
Hi power and clones from quality brands
Cz75 and shadow etc
Cz75 clones such as excellent Sar that can be had for $364-$615, Jericho, witness etc
Arex Zero
Sig p226 and others

And probably a bunch I'm forgetting off the top of my head. Absolutely no reason imo to entertain some new gun that adds nothing except potential for new gun bugs. Some people will buy them simply because they are new and because they are…
