Also, 7.62x39 use to be quite a bit cheaper than 5.56, not so much anymore. Plus for people that already have an AR but don't want and don't want to add another cartridge it only makes sense. I'm not getting rid of 7.62 AKs but I wouldn't mind adding a FB Radom Beryl 5.56.

True. Luckily PSA and their AAC ammo has helped bring the cost down.. sadly the days of the 20rnd 3.99 box 7.62x39.
But at this point.. the prices are about the same. I went the 5.56ak route as well.
The Zastava AKs are not too bad!

There is no cheap steel case production in the states and imported stuff is always a target to the anti gun scumbags. Always stockpile I say.

Im not blessed enough to shoot that much in multiple different calibers. But I like my only AK and just wanted to be sure I can still buy ammo.

Which is why I want a 5.56 AK, then I'd only need to stockpile one cartridge for both AR and AK.

It would still get shot, like at the annual AK weekend and when I feel like it, but I'd use the 5.56 for classes and high volume shooting.

There's a plethora of ambidextrous changing handles out there. I use the Radian Raptor and never let go of the pistol grip during manipulation of my ARs.
