Looks like a bit of corrosion or varnish under the extractor, but it came like that out of the box.
There are a couple spots of blackening here on the muzzle. Also, it's just an effect of the photo that it looks like there's a ding or defect on the lower barrel at about 5 o'clock. There's really no defect.
