This is a very low number, 21 of 1944. The story I got was that 1-3 stayed at Springfield, and 4-20 went to special people as in vets, and VFW posts, number 21 is the first available to the public. I have not bothered to verify this, but you are more than welcome to either confirm this or deny it. Either way, I have seen these go for $2-3000 on gun broker with numbers around 900 or 1200 of 1944. I have everything as new, never shot (by me), box, papers, cleaning kit, rags, sight adjuster, certificate, etc. I am looking for $2400 or best offer.
