Remington 788 chambered in 308 Win with 18-1/2" barrel. Includes a Bushnell 3-9x38 Sportview scope, rings, mount, and Kick EEZ buttpad. Based on the barrel codes ("D", "A"), it appears to have been manufactured in September 1980. Serial number A300XXXX.

Overall a really nice rifle with good wood and decent bluing. Nice bore and crown. Its very handy, feels light in hand, and points great. Would make a great truck gun.

This is my friend's rifle and I haven't shot it, but many people consider the 788 to be one of the most accurate factory rifles Remington has ever made even though it was sold as "budget" rifle. They are now discontinued. Its a neat design with 9 lugs at the rear of the bolt. Trigger pull is good with no over-travel, and supposedly extremely fast lock time. If I had the money, I'd buy it myself!

Sorry, not interested in trades or shipping at this time.
