I shoot the 220 grain Hornady load in my Deerfield 44mag Ruger. I think it's a 16'' barrel also. That round cronos at 1840 FPS. The same round dose 1350 FPS from my 4'' S&W 329.
I don't think people know you gain almost 500 FPS in a 16'' 44 magnum barrel. Maybe more with different loads.
