Decided to be lazy & copy somebody else's description. It's a fairly accurate statement of what I have. Shoots decent, comes with 2 mags. The receiver is grooved if you decide to mount a scope too, though the peep sight is kinda cool.
Mossberg 142-A T Bolt rifle with fold down stock. Good condition some bluing loss, some browning on top of receiver. Good condition stock with some dings but not many. Some scratches on stock.
Damguy's Mossberg site says this about the 142-A "22 lr, l, s, 7 shot detachable box magazine. 18" barrel. Weight 6 lbs. Monte Carlo stock with pistol grip, hinged forearm pulls down to form handgrip, swivels mounted on left side of stock. No. S109 front sight, No. S108 receiver sight. Made 1949-1957."
