I'm actually a little dumbfounded at this.
I surely think he should be, but I can think of a few other cases recently that should as well.
Oh say any of the beheadings that have happened in the name of jihad.
Or of course the most infamous, Ft Hood goon

Ahhh, good thing I turn wrenches for a living. I would unfairly accuse someone of being a terrorist just because they are religious extremist, commit jihad, and killed people in a heinous way in public in the name of allah.

They were probably just misunderstood and they were the real victims of injustice and racism.

My understand is that if they call it a terrorist act, due process isn't necessary. They will be able to interrogate him without a lawyer and he can be held indefinitely. Possibly even taken to GITMO. Is this really what the Patriot Act is all about?

.. Not trying to sound like a supremisist.. BUT.. I am sick of how white males are portrayed and treated in this country..

Others can do no wrong, meanwhile we're fed white guilt, shame, distrust and the scapegoat for anything bad in America..

I just cant take that anymore.
I am proud of my ancestry.
National and racial pride has nothing to do with supremacy or privilege.. Yet we're taught we need to feel guilty because we're white in school.

Every culture has had indentured servitude (slavery) of some sort some like in Africa still have slavery today! Genocide? You can guarantee nearly every country is guilty of that!

Anyhow.. Its all part of the progressives master plan.. Which is sad.. It sounds tin foil hatty.. But seriously.. Can you prove it isnt true?

The only racism and prejudice I see in the media these days is againsts whites, conservatives, Christians and Firearm owners.. And its even considered and dismissed as humorous.. Equality my butt!

We're all equal, but some are more equal than others..
This rings true in todays political and social climate..

Not going to agree with the ideas of "reverse racism", etc.

However, I do have an alternate explanation.

There is already plenty of fear of Islamic terrorism, no more is really needed from the point of view of our "handlers" - they have us as afraid of that threat as they need in order to get what they want. So they ignore it unless it is needed.

OTOH, there isn't enough domestic terrorism, so they take every chance they can to play up that angle. Much more useful when it comes time to play on fears that the common gun owner is a "gun nut" bordering on "domestic terrorist".

I found it pretty interesting that just before the elections there was a lot of news about shootings, especially in WA state. I haven't heard much lately. I am not so paranoid as to think that any government provocateurs caused these crazies to shoot people, but I do believe that the media (quite possibly with gov. collusion) was more than happy to play up these incidents during the runup to the elections.

Try being a 50 something white male trying to find a job today. You better be able to figure something out on your own, because NOBODY wants you for a job.
I am a 60 year old white male.

I have job requests in my email daily because I am in a profession where the demand is high. I have a decent income.

It is all about having the skills and experience that are in demand (and being in a location where the jobs are) - if you have those things, employers generally don't care if you are 20 or 80 or if you are green with purple polka dots. I certainly don't (I wish my employer were a bit more discriminating - with regards to skill/experience - about the people they give me actually - but that is another story) - I just lost my best worker because someone offered him a better position for 50% more pay at a location much closer to his home working on a better project (I wish I could have gone with him).

Not all of us can be desk jockeys, some of us have to actually work physically demanding jobs because we are skilled in that job.

I know Ill be near crippled by 70.. But being outside and at times under, in and on houses beats all. Fresh air and my own hours is sweet.

That and they are linking dementia and Alzheimer's to a lack of vitamin D where sunlight is the primary and I would say most readily available source.. So working indoors for too long can have just as serious repercussions as (figuratively) breaking ones back.

Id rather hurt all over and be sharp as a tack than Fit as a fiddle and lost in my own mind.

Funny how things turn out. You mentioned vitamin D ( which you get mostly from sunlight) yet you have the government telling you to use skin block to save you from cancer. They told us to cut way back on salt because it causes high blood pressure yet they use a salt derivative in viagra to get the pressure up:D. At some point people should just quit listening to what they say, they are making nobody's life better with their BS.

Common sense tells us what is terrorism and what isn't no matter what we are told by those doing the telling. No wonder people don't care to listen to the lies.o_O

And not all of us can work physically either. I certainly can't after my injuries and my age adding on top of those injuries. I have a friend who thought he would work until retirement at 65 putting together planes for Boeing - but his knees gave out.

We might have discussed this in another thread - I know I did with someone - but I have done physical work much of my life, from the crappiest jobs to some fairly decent ones. Had things turned out differently and I decided it was too much of a challenge to use my brains only for a career, I would probably still be laying in the frozen mud under some piece of heavy equipment repairing its hydraulics somewhere in the boonies.

I changed my career - indeed, I did that several times. I went where the jobs were (both physically and mentally), and I went for some job and financial security too.

My point is that there are jobs out there for "old white men" who are willing to try to learn to do a job. Nobody taught me to do what I am doing now. I taught myself. I spent many long hours of my own time, unpaid, learning how to do what I saw other people getting paid good money (twice what I was getting paid) to do, and having fun doing it, and keeping their jobs when others got laid off.

In short, I saw the writing on the wall.

If I had said, I can't do that instead of trying, I wouldn't be where I am now.

Vitamin D may indeed have something to do with Alzheimers, but they also have studies that show that exercising your mind puts it off for longer too. The brain is like a muscle, if you don't use it you lose it. My job may not give me any physical exercise and keep me indoors 8 hours a day, but it does exercise my brain - which I am fairly proud of; I may have flabby muscles, but I can think through and solve problems better than the average person.
