I decided to convert my 45ACP with a CMG RDB with a 16 inch Barrel to an SBR With a 5 inch barrel. I think it will be much handier this way. Anybody else running one of these?

I submitted a form 1 so we shall see what the time is for those these days.

Would be cool with a silencer. Seems like a 10"-12" would be ideal for 230 gr loads, and 5" good for 200 gr loads, going by BBTI.

Omega 45K will most likely live on this one the 16 inch upper is great, it is just heavy and I don't think I am gaining enough to justify the weight

I submitted two form 1"s may 5th still waiting.
10" barrel would be great, my G-21 suppressed seems loud to me compared to the 9mm or even the 10" 44 mag shooting subs.

And holy crap, this thing kicks less than a .32acp skorpion. It's pretty much in the same recoil class as a 10/22.
Awesome! Excellent move using radially delayed blowback imo. Delayed blowback makes all the difference. Fe HK UMP .45 acp, despite costing $1500, is supposed to kick like a 30-06.

Re sound, I use Peltor x5 ear pro (ie max db reduction on the market) and every gun sounds the same.

The gun is running through an omega 45k, so probably hearing safe to boot. I initially threw a scope on it, thinking I would swap it out, but the scope moves so little off target it is staying.
