How long does it take before a "cult" becomes a "religion"?

Reminds me of the question;

How long is it before grave robbing becomes archaeology?

As for how to arm a cult? Uh?

It depends?

Beauty of the 2A, no distinction between different beliefs of people who have right to keep and bear arms

Yeah, but anyone that eats Vegemite on the reg is going have some anger issues to work out so I'm not sure I'd want to mess with them
Or they ain't got functioning taste buds. Sort of like my 4 year old going on 5.... :s0064:

Orange and apple slices on applesauce on bread. Bleugh

I've sold approximately 25 guns over the last several months to members here, each with 'free' Ramen Noodles.

Mission Already Accomplished . . .

EDIT: I'm glad I'm not the only one who watched the movie "Mandy".

Arm them with crystal meth and a library full of books on mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, and chemistry. Just see what they come up with.

Depends on how well funded the theoretical cult would be. Cults generally get their money by absorbing the assets of members, so if the member base is generally poor, the available funds for arms will be similarly low. Conversely, getting a bunch of celebrities, Hollywood types, and Silicon Valley tech bros means it could have some serious cash at its disposal for decent hardware.

If money is super tight, probably best to keep things low cost and consistent calibers:
Sidearm = Glock 19 clones, like the PSA Dagger
PDWs = bufferless AR9s or other similar low-cost subguns that take Glock mags, because damn, mags are expensive!
Rifles = basic AR15s. Nuff said.
Shotguns = inexpensive 12ga pump shotguns. Maybe those Turkish BullTac bullpup ones, just for grins.
DMRs/snipers = basic bolt-action 308s like the Ruger American

Now if money isn't an object, it would be a tragic waste not to go full Bond villain! In that case:

Sidearms =
Steyr M9s for the foot soldiers, because everyone else does Glocks and this cult wants to make a statement that THEY are different!
FN FNX 45 Tactical models for the elite guards, issued with suppressors in case they need to whack a cult member that gets out of line.
A gold-plated HK P7M13 for the cult leader, because he would need some kind of signature weapon to differentiate himself from the peons.

PDWs =
MP5s, B&T TP9s, and Sig 320 Flux Raiders in 9mm
UMPs and Kriss Vectors in 45

Rifles =
Steyr AUGs, G36Cs, and FN FS2000s in 5.56
Honey Badgers and MCXs in 300BO (suppressed, of course)

Shotguns = all 12ga
KSGs
SPAS 12s
Tavor TS12s

DMRs = all .308
SCAR 17s
M1A SOCOMs
Desert Tech WLVRNs
Remington 700s

Snipers / Anti-materiel =
Christensen MPR in .338 LM
CheyTac Intervention in .408 CT
Barrett M82A1 in .50 BMG

I would also have to assume said well-founded cult is on a 500 acre parcel in the middle of nowhere with a mega mansion built on top of a network of caves that serve as a bad guy lair. And that all the of cult members are issued urban camo pattern fatigues. Because if you don't have all that, you just aren't doing the villain thing right.

I am a cult of one, and how I'm armed is proprietary information.
