I met quite a lot of band members from rockers to R&B (didn't take an interest to country bands though).

I worked at a Howard Johnson in Macon, Ga during the early 70's and to name a few people I met there:
Charlie Daniels, the Marshal Tucker Band and set up weekend performances for Wet Willie!!!!
Music was my life and worked hard to go see R&R bands as much as humanly possible.....

No, the band Wet Willie, silly..... Local Georgia Southern Rock n Roll!!!!!
I was charged with getting the surrounding pool area cleared for all the band equipment to be brought in on select weekends. I was paid $1.25 per hour + tips (I was a 13 year old Bell hop with long hair) back in 1972...
