Are you sure it's not an 8 3/8" barrel?

7 inches on the money this is the 686 Talo came in 3,5,7 inch barrels

Gotcha, I see many measure from the frame.

I think I'd start with a call to A.E. Nelson and Ted Blocker, see if they can help.

I had a Guides Choice holster for a large frame Dan Wesson made by these folks. Leather Gun Holsters

You were not too specific on the use of your holster but they have a variety and you may find one acceptable for use.
I can attest these are a truly a lifetime holster. The quality of material and craftsmanship is excellent the pictures on the website do not do justice to the final product.

Midway and several other online retailers have "holster finders." I looked up a 686 with a 7" barrel and found two, a kydex and then a competition holster from Safariland. Look on the internet for holster finders. Once you identify the holster you want, shop for the best prices. Good luck.

Safariland/Bianchi make really nice holsters. I have half a dozen.
