Smith and Wesson Model 66

Hello fellow members...I'm trying to find out a bit about a Smith and Wesson Model 66
I have. To get to the serial number, you open the cylinder and it is on the frame. Hard to read but looks like 4K67xxx. No dash. Anyone able to tell me when this might have been made? Also approximate value. It has stainless sights with NO red inset. No box or paperwork but in very good to excellent condition. Thanks for any help. What a great site!

The serial number will actually be on the bottom of the frame, not inside the yoke...

Same serial number bottom of frame as inside cylinder on the frame. 4K57xxx

Made in 1974 (Supica, page 398). Model 66-1 was introduced in 1977 (Supica page 230).
