There were some years in the past that the Smith 19 was really popular. Back then I had the six inch version without a ramp front sight and it was a great gun to take on deer hunts. I liked the 158 Remington jhp in factory but loaded a 146 sjhp speer that out shot ever bullet I tried. They don't make that bullet anymore but god it was accurate. Guys loaded em too light and the jackets came off in the barrel.

If I could find the right one I would buy another 19 with the six inch tube, old eyes seem to like the longer barrels I guess.

Andy the model 19 in my humble opinion is by far the very best combat .357 out their. It is such a well balanced gun. By far my favorite carry peace.
