Sloppy trigger Marlin 336

I just picked up a Marlin 336 in caliber 30-30, and I noticed that the trigger is very loose when the gun is cocked. You can move it around, but still works to fire the gun. Is this normal or am I missing something ? The gun is almost new , with only a box of shells fired through it, and the price was right. (One C note.) His wife said he had to many and he has to sell some.:huh:

It is a normal "Marlin" thing. Every one I have ever handled has been the same.

Normal, but you can buy a trigger group to fix it. Both my marlin leverguns have the same thing.
