Sling questions, classic M4 style grip, Picatinny rails

Will a Magpul QD slot straight into the holes in the bottom of the handguard or do I need to mount something to the guard first?
Stock is a Magpul and has a QD hole, I just can't figure out if I need to add some hardware for the front.

Edit: Probably should have mentioned, its a classic round plastic M4/M16 like handguard with ridges and holes. Picatinny on the gas block, and on the upper receiver.

You could add a little piece of M-LOK rail. The holes ought to line up with those in the handguard.

You could grab a picatinny qd mount like the one @RedRover posted or some that sticks out to side.

IWC makes the cleanest solutions for mounting a QD socket on a polymer hand guard.
May not be the best for a corn cob handguard, though.

Already have flipup sights and a red dot for her. If she likes the red dot magnifyer going on my Tread I'm going to get her one for my birthday
What else does one need? Yeah... the Holosun from shot show looks neat... but I don't really see needing laser sights, flashlights or anything else. *knocks really loudly on my desk*
