I pulled both deer and elk tags for the Sled Springs unit. Has anybody hunted this unit before? I would appreciate any info.
    Thanks 1Shot

Hunted a road closure area of Sled Springs for elk last fall. Very nice place. Saw elk but didnt get a shot.
First time I have seen white tail and mule deer withing minutes of each other.
Probably a good idea to get a bear tag too if you are going up there. While I didnt see a bear, I saw tons of fresh sign.

I was near but not in the area called Browns meadow.
Plan on doing a good bit of hiking if you hunt the closed road areas. Or go horseback or mountain bike.
