I've decided to share one my best life hacks with the group!
This little do-dad is called a pottery loop trimming tool. You can find it in places like Michaels, Art Media, or online. They cost about two bucks. What is it for you ask? Good question! You know how when you carve pumpkins, and you're having to scrape the inside for what seems like eternity? Never fear! This tool slices through that inside layer like butter, quickly and easily removing the gunk, and leaving you with a neat, non-slimy surface. It's also great for really getting the wall thickness down so you can get a good glow from behind if so desired. And speaking from experience, paring down the wall thickness makes the pumpkin much easier to carve, especially for young kids.
Happy carving!
