I learn from many of the posts I read on NWFA. In this case, I'd never heard of the Sig P365 XMacro. So I had to look it up.

I've owned a Glock 19 for many years and have been satisfied. The P365, without having having carried (or fired) one, I don't like the sharp bits on the muzzle end. It holds more cartridges than the G19 by two, but I've figured that in my own hands, if I can't do the job in 15 shots, a sixteenth probably won't be any advantage. As to "everyday" guns, I tend not to jump around from one to another in a search for the "best." I just muddle along with what I know. Before the G19, I had a Ruger SP101 as "everyday" gun. That is, if I even carried every day. I bought a Glock 43X lately but haven't done a thing with it yet.

Yep the 19 is definitely tried and true! Glock has a decade's long track record that's for sure. I had a 43X and did really care for it. So it will most likely be another Glock 19 to compliment my M&P 2.0 3.6" 9mm.

I carry a Gen 5 Glock 19. I have not been impressed with Sig CS with my first purchase of one of their 1911s which had a blemish, so I moved over to Springfield and Kimber from there.
Though I will say I was very impressed by the size of the P365 Micro after talking to a guy I met at the hardware store a month or so ago. I may have to give them a second chance as I think that would be the perfect EDC for my daughter.

Personally I prefer the G48 over the G19. Other than the G26 the G19 is my least favorite 9mm model. The G48 and G19 are basically the same size, the G48 is just slimmer. But that also means your cut down to 10 rounds vs 15 rounds. But it fits my hand much better.

Loved my Sig XMacro P365 shot it very very well.

Probably the Sig...

Reason being, while the G19 will fit my hand better than the thinner grip of the Sig, already have several in that general type a category of the G19 and the thinner Sig would make a nice little carry platform...

Had a G48 (preferred it over a G19). Switched to a P365XL, then later added the X-macro grip, then finally replaced the XL upper with an aftermarket 4" upper. I basically created a G48, but with a more comfortable fit for my hand.

We are fortunate to be living in the golden age of firearms. Plenty of options out there for just about anyone. Good times….

Yes they do.

G19, because it fits and it works. 15+1 rounds and you can get larger mags (G17 mags will fit). I'm partial to the Gen 3 guns, but do like the ambi slide lock/release of the Gen 5's.

This is NOT a, "which one," question.

It is a ,"which one FIRST," question.

To that end, if you can't figure out which one to get first, then flip a coin. After all...you work hard and deserve to buy yourself something pretty once in a while...or two somethings.

We are nothing here if not...enablers. :)

Neither. Grand Power Q1 with its rotating barrel system will shoot more accurately and with less recoil than either. And cost is less (less than 1/2 the cost of the sig). Those that prefer beretta at an higher cost/odd ergos/odd looks can go for a PX4. But the sig and Glock are both good, dependable, and easy to shoot well choices. I would much rather have the grand power having shot it side by side with p365x and G34. Big difference in accuracy and split times for me when shooting fast.

I've had both. The XMacro and 19. As well as the one I still have. The M&P 2.0 3.6" with the new flat faced trigger. Of the 3 the 19 was the one I had the hardest time shooting. That was up until I took a formal shooting class. So I really like all 3.

So you've already owned these models before, and shot them. Why are you asking us, then? You have a whole lot more firsthand knowledge in your own hands than any of us will ever get.

I have both, as well as a pretty solid pistol collection. Between those two- if it is your only pistoland will be a do everything gun, HD/Range/and concealed carry, then Glock 19. If your focus is concealed carry, then p365. My current concealed carry is a P365XL.

Every gun loving American with a collections of guns probably has to own a Glock. ;- ) They are solid workhorses. They also are getting overshadowed by the options and technology out there- as mentioned we live in a golden age of 9mm guns. IMO there are much better options out there, both for a larger sized double stack, and a slimmer '1.5' stack concealed carry pistol.

Other G19 size guns: Springfield Echelon Compact, HK VP9, CZ P10C, Sig P229, M&P2.0, Beretta PX4. The newer Shadow 2 Compact is incredible, however higher price.

Other slim guns to consider if concealed carry is a focus: G43X/G48 with Shield Mags. Springfield Hellcat. New Bodyguard 2.0. New HK CC9 may be my next small pistol purchase.

So many options, so little time (time is money ;-) )
