Sights needed for a 1917 Enfield

Hey there,
A year or two ago I picked up a sporterized WWI 1917 Enfield missing any kind of rear sight apparatus. I like the overall feel of the rifle and am interested in either scoping it or getting some type of universal rear sight but don't really know what's out there. I spent some time with the Midway catalog today so I'm finding there are a few options but am wondering if anyone has a good idea what to do? Making a Scout-type rifle out of it (with a forward mounted-scope) has appeal to but for now it's just a big paperweight so I want to do something with it.

The ears were removed and there is no sign of any sights at all (maybe it was scoped before or had an aftermarket peep sight?)
