Estacada Rod & Gun Club opens their 100 yd range to the public for hunter sight in every year. It's a good place to take your deer rifle to make sure it's shooting on target. They're open every day until deer seasons starts. Call them for hours, but generally they open at 10 am on week days and 8 am on weekends.

I took my Smith & Wesson 1500 in .30-06 out yesterday and sighted it in. It's always been extremely accurate, but in years gone by those tight groups would widen out as the barrel warmed up. So I had Allison & Carey free float the barrel and bed the action last Spring. Here are the results. The "Final" grouping is two groups of 3 shots. I wanted to be about an inch high at 100 yds so as to be real close to zero at 200 yds:

I have seen a chrono in use at ER&G too. Don't know if it's privately owned or what, but other folks were using it.
