Sounds like .270 WSM, seldom am I impressed by much sig does these days. Only time I'm impressed is when's they actually do what they say they will.

The steel base provides extra strength at the weak part of the case to allow extreme pressure.
Faster burning propellants are used under higher pressure.
It is like 270 WSM performance out of a 308 size case.

A company still makes complete AR-15 uppers in WSSM chamberings.. the .30 is pretty much a .300 Winchester mag using 223 mags
