SIG P290 vs. Kahr PM40: Side by Side Size Comparison

Now that I have the SIG P290 in my hands I can easily see that the reports of it being so thick and blocky are completely off base. Here are a few pics that show it side by side with one of the better know gun lines that are known to be very small. The Kahr PM series.

I am also not seeing what the rumors of a high bore axis are based upon either.

That barrel on the Sig is fat. Is it like the full length or does it taper?

It has this odd bell like taper at the end. I guess it is to avoid needing a bushing.

Well, it is a mixed bag. The Kahr has the far superior trigger...but the SIG appears to point more naturally.
