So the actual barrel length is 16" not including the flash hider right? Just making sure I am understanding this correctly.

Is there enough meat left to remove the flash hider and re-thread the barrel and still be legal 16" rifle length?

If its pinned and welded then it needs the flash hider to be 16. No real other reason for it
