So I got a deal I couldn't refuse on one of these and it is being shipped to me. My collection has been without a 1911 since I sold my Springfield GI model a few years back (regretted it ever since) and felt it was time to get one back in there.

I wish it didn't have the rail, but whatever.

Was curious if any of you have had any experience with the gun and your thoughts. I have read several articles where some folks have changed out the slide spring with something heavier, like the 18lb Wilson. Wondering if any of you think that is necessary.

If it says SIG it has to be good.

I have one of these inbound on the Brown Truck .
Kinda like a SIG only different...:)

10mm double stack
I shot MikeJ's 9mm Tanfo and they are schweet shooters.
Fit and finish is top notch too.

I had a Tac Ops for a year or two. It was a great shooter and very accurate. No reliability issues with any of the various rounds I used. I finally sold it because it was the non traditional slide model and finding a holster for it was next to impossible. I'm guessing/hoping holster choices are better now!
