I've always had a weakness for accurate .22 rimfires, or old .22 rimfires. But give me an accurate .22 rimfire rifle that's also old and I can't get my wallet out quick enough! Yes, they can be very expensive, but they also hold their values well, and often increase in value. I love early 1900's, and late 1800's target rimfires. They just made some gorgeous rifles, that also shot amazing groups!

My son and I put a dent in our ammo today lol.

Top: Winchester model 62 bought new by my Grandfather in 1936.
Bottom: Winchester model 1890 bought new by my Mother-In-Law's Grandfather in 1911.

Only thing that's a Ruger product in this 10/22 is the magazine. Stainless MOA receiver, all internals, trigger, trigger guard are Volquartsen.

Neat little Win. pumps! Didn't know Win. still offered the 1890 in 1911? Thought it had been superseded by the later Model 1906 by that time?

You would think right, but the 1890 was produced from 1890 to 1932. The 1906 came along in 1906 as a less expensive option to the 1890 and was also stopped in 1932 when the model 62 came out that replaced both.

Neither has the rear "tang" sight which is mounted using screws that mount the stock to the frame right behind the hammer.

This is a reproduction Winchester model 52 that someone spent a ton of money on shortening the barrel and having this stock made. I paid asking price and think I stole it.

I think mine might be broken, how do you adjust elevation with that sight? You just twist the stud right?
