This has been a tink together rem 700 build in 308 that started a long long time ago. I cheaped out on the stock instead of going MDT chassis with a folder and I didn't get the glass I wanted. But I think I got a pretty good deal on a Bushnell elite tactical 6 x 24 x 50 that should do the job.

Ruger precision rifle .243/Vortex Viper/Magpul PRS stock/Timber creek handguard for an AR.
Its shoots better than I do. Here is my best 3 shot group @ 200yds. Havent shot it in awhile but want to get back to it. I now have an AccuTac bipod and some small goodies for it to try out.

I went to the store. Mistake number 1.
I said you have anything in 308?
Mistake number 2.
I said hopefully something that doesn't hurt the wallet.
Mistake number 3.
Preferably with a scope already on it.
Mistake number 4.

Well it just said it was lonely and needed a friend! Who am I to say no?

It said that it is on the right side of things but… at times it flips to semi center! And it said not to worry if alphabet individuals question anything about it the response to them is going to be that it identifies as bear spray, with a hint of walking stick, and it's for moral support!

I then had to promise that I would get a lefty so then I wouldn't offend anyone else!:s0168:

Purchased by the Grand Sobo when he was but 20 years old, just before he shipped out to Alaska with the Signal Corps in 1950.
Even though the Grand Sobo still walks this Earth today at 92 yoa, the rifle has been handed down to me now...

Winchester Model 70 (man'fd 1946) in .30-'06 with a Weaver K6 scope.
This is one very finely crafted rifle...

Tikka T3, also in .30-'06, with a Scheels Icon Hunter 4-12 x 44mm with 25mm tube. Not the best glass, but it came at a good price and I don't shoot it often enough to justify spending any more money on optics for it - unless something changes...

You'll notice it's left-handed... I'm right-handed but left-eye dominant, so any gun of mine that's a long-range/target gun is gonna hafta be left-handed...

I have to shoot a LH bolt but I don't know many people that have one! I am able to shoot either side with everything else and I really want to try a LH bolt so maybe one day when I'm not a cheap person I will buy one! Great looking bolt… I like the Boyd's stock

I can shoot pretty much everything off both sides, too, but if I'm going to be shooting for precision or long range, then I really have to use my left eye.
If I can't acquire the target within a few seconds with my right eye, it starts to tear up, my eyelid starts to flutter (no, it ain't sexy at all), and it gets all blurry.
I don't have that problem at all with my left eye. I can hold my left eye open without a blink for well over a minute. It's like being Sammy Davis, Jr...

Thanks for the compliment on the rifle, BTW.

Mistake number 5 will be if you go out and see how a trijicon credo would look on it.
